Hi, I'm Matthias. I love music, nonsense and people that don't take life seriously. I enjoy tinkering with web stuff and craft interfaces with passion. This tank is full of random things I stumble across and enjoy. Stay hungry, stay foolish - never settle.

I cannot believe Microsoft is serious about this video and the approach to get customers to do Windows 7 launch parties.

I think the people who did this campaign have a wrong idea of how social media is working and most importantly how human beings like to party.

Printing out “host notes” with instructions for party activities?! Wtf? Have you ever been to a party with an instruction list? I think an instuction list is actually the opposite of a party.

Bad copying of crowd-sourced marketing approaches initiated by community-driven Open Source projects like the Mozilla Foundation can be really embarrassing for companies like Microsoft.

People spread the word for things they love, things they can participate in, things that are honest.

You cannot reach that point with professional actors simulating a party and telling you what to do in order to have a good time with a list of party instructions.

Honesty and authenticity are important again.
