Attack of the Browser Mutants
Recently I followed an interesting evolution. New Browser applications and ways to interact with web content seem to emerge.E15 (Via John Maeda)
… is an MIT Project aimed at creating new ways of interaction with the web. The tool enables you and me to create scripts, 3D-animations and lots of other stuff out of web data like websites, videos, etc.
Pogo (Via Crunchgear)
… is a Mozilla-based Browser that renders a more 3D like interface.
Another Direction
However I would like the Browser to evolve in another direction. I would like him to disappear. I think the iPhone Safari somehow moves in this direction. Giving all the space of the screen to what really matters: the content. Kind of a combination between Quicksilver and a Browser in Fullscreen Mode.
Would be a cool project to start… *sigh*
