Open thoughts on email
I changed my mind about the state of email. I used to think it’s broken and that things like Google Wave or social networks need to fix it.
After using Gmail for some years now and seeing its evolution I came to the conclusion that we should regard mail as a low level transport protocol that you can use to build cool things without having to change the current state. Gmail is a a perfect example for that. But I think there’s room for other single-task tools that leverage the same protocol and can work together with the old world.
